My name is Magdalena Wachowska and I am a compassionate therapist, who offers a safe, non-judgmental space to work through whatever challenges you are facing. 

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. I have a Bsc. (Hons) degree and Advanced Diploma in Counselling (CPPD Counselling School in London).

I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues and from diverse cultural backgrounds.  
I have been seeing clients at Brent Carers Centre, Mind in Haringey and at the CPPD Low Cost Counselling Service in Hornsey. At the moment I am continuing to volunteer as a counsellor at Mind in Haringey and I am also seeing clients at my private practice.

Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked for nearly 20 years as a TV news and documentary producer. I had a great honour to hear and witness many human stories. Now I am glad I can be of assistance to my clients and support them in bringing positive change into their lives and stories.

I speak English, Polish and German.

My practice:

I work with clients presenting a wide range of issues. I practise different approaches (person-centred, TA, Gestalt, CBT, psychodynamic) depending on the client's requirements. I have been counselling clients presenting anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, fertility issues, parenting issues, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, work issues.

I offer time limited (short-term therapy) and open-ended therapy.

I am working online providing video (Zoom, Skype) and phone sessions. 
I also see clients face-to-face in North London at two locations: Haelan Clinic in Crouch End and private therapy room in Highgate (5min from tube station).  

 

Fees and contact

Each session is 50 min long. My fee is £50 per assessment and any subsequent session for online therapy and £60 per assessment and any subsequent session for face-to-face therapy.
