Nutritional Therapy and Kinesiology by Ella Owen

Nutritional Therapy
Our natural state is to be well and healthy. The body is designed to heal itself. However, modern diet, stress, toxins and environmental pollution can undermine our healing potential and leave us open to various health complaints.

A Nutritional Therapist advises on the use of diet and food supplements to restore balance, aid detoxification and address nutritional deficiencies.

Kinesiology
For a personalised nutritional approach, Ella uses Kinesiology "muscle testing". Kinesiology is used to pinpoint potential imbalances, food sensitivities, and create a tailor made supplementation program.

In practice this means that if you take any exsisting supplements they can be checked to see if they are suitable for you. Having established any imbalances using the Kinesiology technique, additional supplements can be tested to see if they will aid you to redress these imbalances.

Food Sensitivity Testing
Do you suffer from digestive problems or low energy? Perhaps you have food intolerances or sensitivites. Many health complaints are caused or aggravated by food. Foods that are unbeneficial to the body can prevent the body from healing itself.

Kinesiology "muscle testing" is an effective tool for determining sensitivites. Results are immediate and testing is completely pain free. There is no need to remove any clothing. It is suitable for adults, children and babies.

What is Kinesiology?
Traditionally Kinesiology (pronounced kin - easy- ology) refers to the study of muscles and movement in the body.

However, in the natural health field the term Kinesiology is seen and used in a wder context. Here muscles become monitors of stress and imbalance within the body. "Muscle testing" is used to detect various imbalances in the body which may relate to stress, nutrition and so on.

The system was developed over 35 years ago by chiropractic doctors.

Ella Owen specialises in nutritional therapy and digestive problems such as Irritable Bowel. She also uses flower remedies and meridian energy healing approaches, where appropriate, to stimulate the healing process.

Ella Owen practices Nutritional Therapy and Kinesiology at the Haelan Centre.
